Public Random Lottery Notification
As of April 1, 2017, we received 47 applications for 6th grade students but only have 120 seats available. In accordance with charter law, we will be conducting a public random lottery for all 6th grade applicants on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the school’s auditorium. You and your student are cordially invited to attend the lottery, but your attendance is not required for admission.

Each year, Crown Prep has a fixed number of seats available for each grade level. If we receive more applications than there are available spaces, admission is determined by a random lottery, as required by our approved Charter Petition and Ed Code § 47605(d)(2)(B). The number of available seats differs by grade level. The lottery is a method for ensuring each student has an equal opportunity to be accepted.

Once all available seats have been filled, the lottery continues to generate the waitlist. All remaining students are placed on the waitlist in the order that they are drawn. If a space becomes available, students are called from the waitlist.

All parents will be notified of their student's acceptance status and/or number on the waitlist shortly after the lottery is completed. Your attendance at the lottery is encouraged but not mandatory. In order to ensure you receive prompt notification, please notify the school as soon as possible of any changes to your address or phone number so we can reach you.
